I wanted to find my way.

“When I moved to England, I came in contact with Muslims for the very first time. At first, it felt uncomfortable as the one of the only few things I knew about them was that they were terrorists (how foolish to think that).

I felt the need to find out as much as possible, I wanted to find my way. One lonely night, I prayed to God for the very first time. I didn’t know which God (what religion) or how to pray. But I asked Him for something. I asked Him to send me a man who would love me the most, who would have the same hobbies and passions I have and who would understand me. And He sent him. And I knew God existed. This guy was a very practising Muslim. He taught me so much, I started believing in Allah. Just a day before Ramadan, I bought a hijab, came to him and told him to help me take my Shahadah so I could fast my first Ramadan. He was so happy, I’ll never forget that. We got married two months later. Becoming a Muslim was the best decision of my life, Alhamdulillah.”
