We know all too well that Islam prohibits its followers to have tattoo. But what if there’s an individual who tattooed all his body and eventually became interested to enter Islam? Would it be the very reason to obstruct him from becoming a Muslim?
As Rasulullah صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ once said:
الْإِسْلَامَ يَهْدِمُ مَا كَانَ قَبْلَهُ
Islam wipes away all sins committed before it
(Sahih Muslim 121)
“When you entered Islam it is as if you’re a new-born child. Your life is pure without any sins.
The pages of your book that records all of your good and bad deeds are completely empty (start afresh).
You can fill all those empty pages with good deeds.” – Ustaz Naseef Ahmed.
